tired of always feeling tired?

Reader,

Are you suffering from a lack of quality sleep?

Are you feeling frustrated and dejected about your insomnia?

Do you find yourself thinking things like...

  • "my racing mind won't let me sleep"
  • "I can't remember the last time I felt truly rested"
  • "sleep deprivation is hurting my marriage"
  • "when I don't sleep I feel like a shell of myself"
  • "lack of sleep leaves me feeling scattered and it's costing me at work"
  • "no one understands how crippling my insomnia is"
  • "I keep trying new ways to sleep better and nothing works"
  • "I'm at my breaking point and I don't know what to do"

Insomnia can be a vicious cycle.

The longer you're sleep deprived, the harder it becomes to recognize how sleep deprivation is harming you, and the harder it becomes to find the solutions that can break you free from insomnia and return you to a rested and balanced state.

I've been there too.

When I was preparing for the California Bar exam, I got so stressed and anxious that I started sleeping only 2-3 hours per night.

On the three nights before the exam itself, I didn't sleep at all.

I tried sleeping pills, exercising, soothing music, making the room cooler and darker, eating less before bed, eating more before bed, watching funny YouTube videos to try and lighten my mood...

But sleep just wouldn't come.

I walked into the exam feeling like a zombie and a wreck.

I relied on bursts of adrenaline to stay focused during the 3-hour exam periods. I remember feeling like my heart was going to burst from all the anxious energy, and afterwards my heart felt physically sore from the exertion.

During breaks between exam periods, I felt so pained, drained, and dejected that I hurried up to my hotel room so I could just lay on the bed and cry.

While I ended up passing the exam, the experience was a nightmare, and insomnia was the main reason why.

If you suffer from insomnia, I want you to know three things:

(1) you're not alone

(2) I know how brutal sleep deprivation can be

(3) I can help

In emails to come, I'll share more about how I help clients overcome insomnia so they stop feeling trapped and start feeling rested, capable, and confident again.

In the meantime, don't hesitate to reach out and share your insomnia experience with me. Simply reply to this email and let me know what you're going through ❤️

Love,

Joe

PS: did you know that 1 in 4 Americans suffer from insomnia at some point during the year? There's a stigma around insomnia that can make it hard to talk about. Hit reply and let me know about your struggles with sleep. Just talking about your insomnia openly is a powerful first step toward healing.
